Pre-Gathering Workshop
Accessing Funding for Survivors, Residential School and Day Scholars, and Their Descendants
Are you a Survivor, Residential School or Day Scholar, or a descendant seeking funding to support healing, cultural revitalization, or community-led initiatives? This session, co-hosted by the Future Generations Foundation (FG Foundation) and the Day Scholars Revitalization Society (DSRS), will provide a practical overview of each organization and the funding opportunities they offer.
Registered attendees will be invited to RSVP for this workshops 3 weeks before the gathering.

The Sixties Scoop, Reconciliation & Indigenous Child Welfare
This session will explore the history of the Sixties Scoop, Reconciliation, and Indigenous Child Welfare in North America, along with an in-depth look at the process and procedures of the 2024 Grant Program from the National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation of Canada.
Registered attendees will be invited to RSVP for this workshops 3 weeks before the gathering.

Field Trips (Off Site)
Participants will board busses departing from the RBC Convention Centre and head to local institutions that preserve and share history and culture. These exclusive “behind-the-scenes” tours will equip attendees with practical insights and knowledge to enrich their own communities upon their return home.

The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR)
Join us for an intimate and meaningful visit to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR), located at the University of Manitoba. This field trip offers a rare opportunity to step into a space dedicated to truth, memory, and healing.
Canadian Museum for Human Rights
As part of IHHG, attendees will have the opportunity to experience a guided field trip to the museum, gaining deeper insight into human rights history and contemporary challenges.
